On Saturday 18 May, members of Protest in Harmony sang on Edinburgh’s Waverley Bridge as demonstrators gathered in May sunshine for a National March for Palestine, called by the Edinburgh Gaza Genocide Emergency Committee and organised by the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign, SPSC Glasgow and SPSC Edinburgh and Lothians.
Led by Penny Stone, Jane Lewis and Shereen Benjamin, our songs included Ceasefire Now, Ceasefire Forever, The Children Are Always Ours, Peace Salaam Shalom, Lay Down Your Sword and Shield, We Are Singing For A Ceasefire Now, and an Arabic version of the well-known protest anthem Bella Ciao.
