On 14 November, members of Protest in Harmony were at the Scottish parliament in Holyrood to support the handing in of a petition to support a global exit plan from fossil fuels. The petition was organised by Global Justice Now and Friends of the Earth, and other groups supporting the call for a treaty included Parents for Future UK, Christian Action and North Sea Knitters.

The First Minister, John Swinney, didn’t come out, so the North Sea Knitters went in to present the petition to him. PiH sang three songs, ably led by Ian Davies: Bella Ciao (We need to wake up) and Another World between poems and the choir finished the whole event with a stirring rendition of Leave the Oil in the Ground.
