Since October 2023 we have been singing a weekly vigil for a ceasefire, and for an end to the occupation of Palestine. We also collect money for Medical Aid for Palestinians. We sing from 12–1pm on Fridays outside St. Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. All are welcome to join us.
Whilst most of the songs we sing at these weekly vigils are very repetitive and easy to pick up, this songsheet has the more wordy songs that we sing to make it easier for folk coming along for the first time to join in.
This songsheet has all the songs we sing regularly, plus a couple more we’ve just started learning. It’s 4 sides of A4, so please do print yourself a copy if you’d like to. We will try to bring spares along each friday as well.

We also often end with the Freedom Come All Ye, which is much wordier and in Scots, but has a bagpipe drone, so you can always join in on that part if this song is new to you! The words have been added to the second songsheet for anyone who wants to give it a go.
